For years, I was skeptical of blogs. I mean, let’s face it, everyone and their mom has one these days and what could I do or contribute to this massive blogosphere that hasn’t already been said or done?!
I still don’t really know the answer to that, but what I do know is since becoming a vegan (oh and did I mention gluten-free) over a year ago my feelings towards blogs have morphed from those of annoyance into quite an unhealthy obsession. Every day I scour health and wellness blogs for recipes, tips, advice, inspiration and food pics. I’m a glutton for food porn and I just can’t get enough.
At night I come home from the office and set to work in the kitchen- copying, combining and altering different recipes, coming up with new ones, taking pics on my i-phone and then enthusiastically describing the results to my poor, meat-lovin’ boyfriend.
Day after day he would tell me it was time to stop looking at other people’s blogs and create my own (probably so I’d have someone/thing else to tell my foodie tales to). “2013” I’d always say, and suddenly here we are.
So, it’s a new year, a new beginning, and yet another new food blog. What makes mine any different than all the others- you may ask?
Once again, I don’t have an answer for you.
But I’m hoping there’s others out there like me- hungry for the photos, the ideas, and that perfect recipe that looks good, tastes amazing and makes you feel even better.
