For over 15+ years I struggled with symptoms of hormonal imbalance, including heavy, painful + irregular periods, mood swings, anxiety, depression, digestive/gut issues, weight gain, hair loss, acne, etc. I thought this was all just a “normal” part of being a woman with a period every month. Little did I know how wrong I was, until I went back to school to study hormone health. It was there I discovered that while these uncomfortable symptoms are way too common (90% of menstruating women in the US reported experiencing some sort of period pain or symptom) they are NOT normal. Rather, they are our bodies' way of telling us our hormones are out of balance and need support.
And I’m on mission to make sure no other woman has to “just deal with it” again.

After getting my accreditation in hormone health, you can bet I began implementing my new learnings into my daily life. And the results were...surprising, in the best possible way. I began having regular, dependable menstrual cycles for the first time EVER, and my symptoms diminished overtime. No more midol or hot water bottle, “special” stretchy pants to accommodate the insane bloat, massive fights with my hubby the week before my period, crazy sugar cravings or intense bouts of fatigue. No more saying no to fun things because it was “that time of the month.” And HALLELUJAH, no more zit cream + proactive subscription.
Instead my mood, energy and weight stabilized, my hair grew back thick and full, my SIBO and IBS symptoms went dormant, my skin literally started glowing, my sleep and sex life both improved, and when it came time to getting pregnant, we were able to conceive naturally, something I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do beforehand due to my erratic cycles.
All of this to say, I didn’t think feeling this good was possible beforehand, especially without making sacrifices (i.e. some crazy diet or strict plan). But I’m here to tell you balanced hormones can be achieved through the most DELICIOUS food and seriously enjoyable (yet effective) action steps.
